Why would a Triumph Tiger Sport 660 require a radiator guard?

EP radiator guards are designed to protect a motorcycle radiator from damage caused by road debris, while allowing essential cooling air to pass through. Regardless of engine capacity and overall performance, without a quality radiator guard in place the radiator cooling fins can get hammered and stone chippings, flung from the front tyre or passing traffic, can hole the radiator core. As a fragile and intricate component, the Tiger Sport 660 radiator is very difficult to repair (in most cases beyond economical repair) and expensive to replace.

A nice piece of kit.

Arrived when promised and well packaged. Even for a totally non-technical/mechanical individual like myself the fitting of the guard was relatively easy. Instructions are helpful to a point, but you do need a bit of common sense to get everything as it should be. Looks great on my Tiger Sport 660.

Although simple to fit the instructions are extremely poor quality, would be great to have a short video guide.

Clear instructions -but......

The pictorial instructions were very helpful while photo quality could be better.
On the initial photo, it would have been helpful to show a pic of Blue thread lock which is necessary for adequate reassembly. The replacement threaded lock clips were not necessary to replace the ones already on the bike.
The longer bolts were absolutely necessary.
The fitment, overall quality, and perceived ability to do do the job, was spot on.

Easy to fit

Great bit of kit. Easy to install. Didn’t need the bolts which is lucky as I had to use them for the tail tidy I also purchased from Evotech.
